About the Project

The International Organization for Migration (IOM), in partnership with Foundation Building Bridges Saving Lives (SBBSL), is carrying out community-based activities to better understand the needs of migrant communities in Sint Maarten and to provide targeted humanitarian support where possible.

What Activities Are Taking Place?

Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM)

DTM is a data collection tool used by IOM to understand living conditions, challenges, and priority needs within migrant communities.

Cash-Based Assistance

Based on information gathered through DTM, IOM is piloting cash-based assistance to support vulnerable migrants in meeting basic needs.

Working With the Community

All activities are implemented in close collaboration with SBBSL, a trusted local organization with strong community connections and experience supporting vulnerable populations in Sint Maarten
